Democrats versus Republicans face off once again in the year of 1960. The election of 1960 was a nasty election that broke the bond between two friends. John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Richard Milhous Nixon were the main two candidates in the election. With both candidates having political experience, anyone of them could become the 35th President of the United States. Before the 1960 election, Nixon had been elected to serve in the House of Representatives and the Senate at the age of 43. He was also Vice President under the Eisenhower administration and was the second youngest in history. Kennedy was also a Senator at the age of 35. He was also known as handsome, debonair, witty and a decorated war hero. Surprisingly, Kennedy and Nixon were hall mates.
